Description

Charles Nicolas Bazin studied bow making with his father François and went on to become one of the best Mirecourt makers of his time, establishing a highly respected workshop.

This bow comprises a round pernambuco stick with silver mounted ebony frog which is decorated with pearl eyes; the three piece adjuster of silver / ebony / silver capped with a pearl eye.

An altogether lovely bow, it produces a fine sound and can contrast, sounds, colours and articulations with great precision and character; it has great balance on the strings and a big sound resonance when playing ‘forte’ passages.
