Description

Hermann Richard Pfretzschner, pupil of his father Carl and of J. B. Vuillaume in Paris, set up his bow making workshop in Markneukirchen, Saxony, in the late 1800s, which later passed on to his son and is indeed still in operation today. A world famous bow making firm, renowned for quality.

Having an octagonal pernambuco stick with silver mounted ebony frog, decorated with Parisian eyes and an ebony adjuster fully sheathed in silver, this strong stick produces a powerful sound with excellent articulation and projection. It produces a resonant, rich, romantic sound and is very stable on the strings.
