Description
This unlabelled viola of the Saxon school c.1970 is a typical example of this area and period. The flamed maple and spruce body is covered with a shaded varnish which exhibits fine craquelure.
It is a bright sounding viola with good articulation, a quick response and well balanced string crossing and has a rich melodic sound with excellent carrying power.
