Description

The violin is unlabelled but bears the maker’s stamp, the initials “H.L.” in an oblong border. This stamp can be found in various places both internally and externally. Lang worked in his home country but was a frequent visitor to London and had an association with at least one of the major violin houses there.

It has a bright, powerful sound, rich in harmonic resonance and overtones. It is well balanced between the strings and has a quick response to playing in different dynamics and has excellent articulation.
