Description

E. H. Roth was the head of the Roth family of luthiers, he worked in Italy and Russia before setting up his own workshop in Markneukirchen.

Well known for first class violins, he also produced a range of excellent bows.

This bow comprises a fine, round pernambuco stick with a silver mounted ebony frog which is decorated with pearl eyes; the three piece adjuster of silver / ebony / silver.

It is beautifully balanced on the strings and is very sensitive to speed and pressure. Smooth string crossings and détaché. It also feels great for spiccato and sautillé.

It produces a rich, powerful tone. A wonderful bow!
