Dominant cello strings are made with a highly flexible, multi-strand synthetic core, providing the tonal warmth and feel of a gut string.  The sound is radiant and clear, rich in overtones with stable intonation and rapid response.

The resounding success of these strings owes a lot to its similarity in tone and response to gut strings without the sensitivity to fluctuations in humidity.  Synthetic core strings take a few days to stretch and settle into pitch and require tuning using the pegs.

All strings in the set have a perlon core with chrome windings.
