E. Hermann Czech Violin Bow, c.1935
Chased gold mounts set against jet-black ebony and a high quality warm amber stick place this bow in the upper level of Edwin Herrmann’s productive output.
Edwin Herrmann was a member of a well-known and respected family of Schönlind bowmakers, learning the craft from his father Albert in the tradition of the family workshop, in turn teaching his son Lothar, who also went on to become a highly respected maker in Markneukirchen, Germany.
