Emilio Bassi, Violin, Cremona, 1993
A modern Italian violin by Emilio Bassi, Cremona, 1993, with a glorious, big sound. It also looks spectacular with a beautiful one piece back and similar quality top all clothed in an amber coloured varnish so typical of the Cremonese school of the period.
Most reference material does not include information on modern makers and Bassi is no different in this respect. However, the Certificate of Authenticity which accompanies the instrument has been drawn up by Stefano Conia, a contemporary of Bassi's and an internationally regarded maker and dealer in Cremona and this speakes for his bona fides.
This violin is in virtually mint condition and is fitted up to our ‘Master’ standard using Evah Pirazzi strings. A superb instrument ideally suited to the advanced student or professional player
