The Gliga workshop in Romania produces a large range of bowed instruments, from good student violins, violas and cellos right up to high quality hand made instruments which are exported all over the world, for the use of students and professionals alike.

This cello is from the upper level of their range, the ‘Gliga Vasile Maestro Extra 2008’, it is a hand made cello exhibiting a beautiful two piece back plate of narrow regularly flamed maple with matching sides and head; the two piece top of fine quality spruce, all covered in a warm amber coloured varnish.

A superb cello, well played-in, with a Master set-up and Larsen Magnacore strings for the discerning advanced student or dedicated amateur  player.
