The Jan Kubek range represent refined European student instruments. They are a step up from the Guardelli violins. Based on their consistently high quality we have been pleased to have had them for many years as one of our standards. The tonewoods are sourced locally and usually feature nicely flamed one-piece maple backs with matching sides and head, the top plate of fine grained spruce; the varnish is of a lightly shaded pattern in a warm mid-brown.

Jan Kubek violins are produced in the SVS workshop in in Bratislava, Slovakia, and the fine craftsmanship associated with this workshop, combined with top quality materials, always guarantees a superior quality product. Instruments are based on the old Italian Masters and are fitted up to our top standard here in Melbourne with best quality strings and fittings offering ease of playing with a consistently good volume and projection.
