Geman Viola Bow, Markneukirchen School c.1900

A really lovely round Pernambuco stick from the turn of the 20th century which is slightly spotted in a faux-Snakewood pattern. Ebony and German-silver mounts complete the make-up of this beautifully responsive bow. Unstamped German bows of this calibre represent superb value for money.

This bow is typical of the large output of unstamped bows produced in a range suited to advanced players by several of the master bow making workshops in Markneukirchen and destined to be sent all over the world to violin dealers eager to buy in good quality stock for their customers.
