Rainer Beilharz Australian Baroque Violin, 2017

This baroque style violin from Rainer Beilharz exhibits his hallmark attention to detail and fine craftsmanship. The lovely hand-crafted, veneered, fingerboard and tailpiece to minimise weight are highlights of the construction. Most players of the baroque period would have played on new instruments so, for those interested in authentic early music performance, this is the one for you!

Rainer Beilharz is an award-winning violin maker, a founding member of the Australian Violin Makers Association (AVMA) and a member of the Entente Internationale des Maitres Luthiers et Archetiers d’Art (EILA). He produces the full range of orchestral string instruments at his workshop in the lovely regional town of Castlemaine, Central Victoria.

Bearing the makers fitting-up with a baroque style bridge and gut strings and fruit-wood pegs. This is a rare and sensational sounding instrument suitable for any violinist specialising in early music.
