German School Violin Bow, c.1920
A lovely and fine quality round Pernambuco stick in great, original condition in the style of F. N. Voirin, beautifully balanced, responsive and with good grip on the strings.
A centre of excellence for bow making, Saxony’s famous bow making workshops produced first class unstamped bows for the European and world trade. Intended to have the selling shop’s brand applied, large numbers of these bows remained unstamped making it practically impossible, now 100 years or more from their date of manufacture to definitively state the workshop of origin.
