German Viola Bow, c.1975
Germany has a rich tradition of bows manufactured for the trade and exported worldwide. This bow from Saxony stamped “GERMANY” on the lower facet of the handle comprises a round brazilwood stick with a nickel mounted ebony frog which is decorated with pearl eyes; the adjuster is of ebony fully sheathed in nickel.
Fully refurbished, this bow will perform all the basic bow strokes the student violist will require and will reward the player with the full sound of a wooden bow.
