Albert Nürnberger, German, Composite Gold Mounted Violin Bow, c.1910
A beautifully crafted octagonal Pernambuco stick from one of the preeminent German Bow workshops of the 19th and 20th centuries. The later frog is also attributed to the Nürnberger workshop.
The “Albert Nürnberger” workshop was founded around the early 1850’s and continued in a long family line of highly skilled bowmakers all using the ‘*Albert Nürnberger*’ name stamp, in homage to Franz Albert Nürnberger, the founder. The stamp displays different formats throughout the years. These bows represent good investment potential.
Bows from the Albert Nürnberger workshop are highly acclaimed throughout the playing fraternity and have been used by many internationally famous players. This bow would suit the advanced student or professional player.
