German Violin Bow, Faint ‘Viorin’ Stamp c.1930

This robust light brown Pernambuco stick is nicely balanced and performs all special bowings with grace. An obviously much-loved bow which is still in almost perfect condition after all these years and offers great value for money.

Like violin makers, bow makers often make copies of famous masters and apply the name of the master being copied in homage, in this case the great French master F.N.Voirin although, to ensure that there can be no deception, these stamps vary enough from the original to be obvious. What better tribute could they make?
