Rainer Beilharz Violin, Australia, 2024

A lovely Italian inspired violin, made in 2024 by Rainer Beilharz which exhibits all the hallmarks of this internationally renowned Australian master, having beautifully figured slab-cut maple back, quartered sides and a fine spruce top, all covered in light amber coloured varnish with a light gold ground which seems to literally glow through from below. Rainer Beilharz is an award-winning violin maker, a founding member of the Australian Violin Makers Association (AVMA) and a member of the Entente Internationale des Maitres Luthiers et Archetiers d’Art (EILA). He works in Castlemaine, Central Victoria.

The violin, naturally, is fitted up to a ‘Master’ standard by the maker using fine ebony fittings and Pirastro Perpetual strings. This violin would suit the dedicated amateur through to advanced and professional players.
